Preparations

There's been a flurry of work happening in the townhome over the last two weeks.  With the Little Man's big day fast approaching we figured it would be a good time to start preparing the nursery for his arrival.

Halloween was busy for us not because we were handing out candy (only 1 trick-or-treater by the way), but because we spent half the day cleaning out closets to make room for all of the new baby stuff.  After clearing out space, I was able to spend last week putting the base coat of paint up in the nursery.  It took awhile and was exhausting, but in the end it's going to make the room look really great.  Terry has a keen eye for design whether or not she wants to admit to it.

We had quite a bit of difficulty getting the right parts for the crib, but they all finally arrived last week.  In addtion to crib parts arriving, we also had a helper arrive in the form of grandpa.  My dad was in town for work and was able to stay the weekend in Rochester so Terry and I put him to work!  He did a great job putting the crib together that Terry's mom bought, and it was definitely worth waiting a few months to get in the right parts.  While he worked on the crib, I was able to start drawing the banner lines in the room.  After round one of paint it's starting to come together.  We're hoping to have the room done by next week so we can show everyone pictures when we're back in NC for Thanksgiving.

Still a mess, but it's coming together fast

Baby needs a pumpkin too!
